• Question: are there different breeds of humans?

      no, a breed is a group within a species that are similar to each other but different in appearance to others of that species. So really we only see that in animals that we breed, like dogs, cats etc. Humans are all one species and we are all very similar, although some of us look a little different we are not classed as different breeds of humans as we are too similar. Instead people are usually classified by social or cultural characteristics like where in the world they are descended from (european, asian, afircan are the main ones as a lot of american and south americans are European descendants). In the UK we usually put people in groups based on their ancestory (afro-caribbean, white british, white irish etc) socio-economic status (what kind of job you have),and religion (including atheism)
