• Question: could you be happy if you weren't a scientics?

      Hi DeSousaF,
      Of course! I’ve been extremely lucky in that I’ve found a job that I love, and that the projects I’ve managed to work on have all been extremely interesting to me. That could very easily have not been the case, I could have got stuck on really boring projects and really been unhappy with what I was working on. I’m just grateful that everything seems to have worked out!
      If I wasn’t a scientist I think I’d probably do something completely removed from science. I’ve always been good at picking up different languages, so maybe I’d have tried to be a language translator, I think that would be a really interesting job and you’d get to meet a lot of different people, and probably a lot of opportunities for traveling too. I’d also quite liked to have become an author and written either books or screenplays for films/TV shows.
