Question: Have any of the cells you've worked on ever mutated and turned into something else e.g. Futurama characters?

Not futurama characters. But, cancer cells are always mutating so when we grow cells we can’t keep growing them for too long otherwise they start to become really different from the first lot of cells we had and so we can’t be sure the results we get are reproducible. So to combat this we only grow cells for a few times and then we throw them in the bin and get a fresh batch out of the freezer!
