• Question: How small is a cell?

      Very small! There are lots of different types of cell (about 200) and each is slightly different to the next so cells can vary in size just like people do. Most cells are between 10 and 30um in diameter. The cells i work on are mostly epithelial type cells and these are about 20um but they range from 10-30um in size again depending on the exact type of cell.
