Do you mean when my cancer cells go wrong when im growing them what do they do? If so, they usually die. Cells are really picky so if they dont have the right nutrients or environment then they basically just cant cope and die very quickly. Sometimes you can do something to a cell and it wont like it so it will change its behaviour but it wont die, this usually means the cells phenotype (the way it looks and acts) changes. The kind of phenotypic changes we see our change in cell shape, slow growth (or faster growth), producing different proteins, moving really slowly (or fast), sometimes they start using more nutrients and so produce more of a particular molecule (usually lactate) which they secret (poo basically) into the environment.
