I didn’t really choose cancer, it kind of just became what I was interested in. I knew i was interested in things that go wrong in the body, and cancer is probably the main one of these. The reason I find cancer the most interesting of the things that go wrong in the body is because cancer cells can talk to other cells and make them do things they shouldn’t do. For example a cancer cell can talk to a cell called a fibroblast (fibroblasts are cells that make up the connective tissue in your body) and tell it to make it easier for the cancer cell to move around and get to other parts of the body. I think that’s really cool and interesting, and thats why I chose cancer because of cool and interesting things that it does!
