• Question: Will dinosaurs ever come back to life, if so how dangerous would they be?

      Dinosaurs, or at least the ancestors of dinosaurs, are still alive! Birds are all descendants of the dinosaurs, which is super cool!

      I think we wont ever be able to bring dinosaurs back like the T Rex and stuff, biology just doesnt really work like that. What we might be able to do is mutate an animal so that it starts to look like a dinosaur, but that might be ethically and morally wrong to do. There is some research going on as to whether we can bring mammoths back to life by cloning their DNA and doing something a bit like IVF with african elephants. So that an african elephant would give birth to a woolly mammoth – not sure it will work tho.

      But whatever happens I doubt any of it will be dangerous to us humans. Instead we might accidentally introduce an animal into an environment where it kills, or outcompetes other animals and so they die out. This is called an invasive species and lots of countries have problems with them.
